I am home !!!
Just wanted everyone to know I am home and resting comfortably. I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes. I also want to thank everyone who helped out with taking the kids. I appreciate all of my family for everything they have done for me.
The surgery went off without a hitch. It took about two hours. The surgeon said my right leg was about 1 1/2 " shorter than my left leg. He did give me that length back. So that should help with all the extra limping. The pain from my hip is gone. The only pain I have is the incision sight and I believe what is the muscles stretching back out. I can't wait for all the healing to begin. I have a feeling it is going to be a long road, but well worth it.
So thanks for everything I will take all the prayers I can get.
Love,
Holly

Holly's Surgery
Thanks for all the prayers for Holly ---she is doing well. The surgery was at 7:30 this morning and she was done around 9:30. She is in good spirits although bored already. The Dr. says she will go home on Thursday. She is in Room 2117 at Dupont Hospital and would probably enjoy a call if anybody has the time. Thanks again for your prayers.

Update on Me
I just wanted to give a quick update on us. Ok, not us just me :) My hip replacement surgery is in twelve days! But since I have such an awesome family things will get taken care of (and by this I mean my kids). Today Mom, Kris, and Melissa were so kind to make food to fill my chest freezer so after surgery things can just be pulled out and warmed up. It was great to spend time with them and for them to give up their day off to help me just proves I come from a great family.
I will be at Dupont Hospital on Monday the 18th. As long as things go well I should come home on wednesday. Between Mom and Aunt Lori they will be keeping the kids overnight and making sure they get to and from school. Kris has offered to give up her Wednesday night to come and stay from when the kids get home from school until they actually go to bed (by that I mean fall asleep). Steve works monday thru friday during the day and then tuesday and wednesday from 5pm-midnight and then friday and saturday 5pm - 8 or 9pm. So I think most things are covered. Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes, needless to say I am beginning to get nervous. I know everything will be so much better when this is over, it's just hard to comprehend right now.
Like Mom said, I will also try to keep everyone updated a little better. Family is so important, and as much as I hate asking for help I know anyone of you would be there for me if I needed it. And I would do anything I could for any of you.
I love you all,
Holly

After Holidays
Hi all-----hope everyone's Christmas was good and here is to a healthy and prosperous New Year for all. Maybe we can make a resolution to keep in contact on the blog a little better this New Year even though some use facebook now. I really like hearing from all of you more and I promise to try too. We have a new addition to our home--Maddie a black cockapoo/pomeranian.
puppy--9 weeks old and already the apple of our eye. She is a really nice stress reliever for both of us(don't let Larry kid you). Mom & Theron are both doing well---Mom is getting stronger all the time. Of course our Christmas was great and if you saw the picture of all our grandkids you can see why. It was a really nice gift. Now its all your turn for some news.
