Only a few weeks away from the First Annual Heckber North Winter Gathering and just a few house keeping items. I need a headcount for those coming up to the Twin on Friday night so that I have enough room reserved. So far here is what I have:
Mike, Julie plus 3
Larry and Mic
Melissa plus 3
Amy plus 1
Ashley plus 1
That total puts us at 17 and the small back room can handle around 20 if needed. If we go over then I will just move everyone to the main dinning room. If anyone else is coming for Friday night just email me or give me a call so I can make the adjustments early on Friday and get the space reserved. Email address is lheckber@embarqmail.com
Overnight guest are:
Melissa plus 3
Amy plus 1
Ashley plus 1
Total of 8 so everyone gets a bed.
Have not heard from Steve, Kathy and family, Gene and Karol, Tom, Pam and family, or David and Judy. Hope you have time to make the trip for however long it may be.
I am having Sue's mom make us some pies for dessert, so for you that like raisin pie let me know if you are coming and I will make sure I add that to her list. As of right now we are having apple, cherry and peach.
Look forward to seeing everyone! And don't forget about the noodle making....5 lbs of flour and two dozen eggs, clean sheet and zip lock bags.
Look forward to seeing everyone and hope the weather cooperates.

Taxi service available
If we get the van fixed in time I can take or bring back 3 extras. If not, only 1, I'll let you know. If anybody needs a ride, or wants to stay Friday but does not have a ride back Saturday, let me know.
Brenna is making her soon to be famous, Grandma Cookie tapioca pudding, Aunt Lori came up with a tweaked recipe. If any of you have tried to follow one of Grandma's hand-written recipes you know what I am talking about and it never seems to taste as good.
Hey Bradley, it seems the other week wasn't a good one for the Heckber boy's to be driving!!??

Hello Everyone
Hi- Hope everyone is doing well!! No we are not in our house yet but we are working on drywall. The upstairs is complete, we are now working on the downstairs. Scott is telling me we will move in sometime late Feb early March. I sure hope soon I am so sick of living in Ft Wayne and Scott being gone so much. Gracie had her 4 month check up last week she is 13lbs 8oz 24 1/2 inches long. She is on cereal twice a day now and loving every bit of it. She has such a cute personality-I know every new Mom says that:) but it is true. Gracie has started to her babysitter full time now, which was a really hard transition for me. I really liked the how convenient it was for Mom, Dad and Ashley to watch her. We decided to have Kathy Deluzak(Wyss) be her babysitter. Gracie absolutely loves her which makes things so much easier for me. It is so nice to be in contact with Kathy again, we are really happy she was able to watch Gracie full time.

1st Annual "Heckber North Winter" Gathering
Too take a spin from Mic's winter blahs...Sue and I would like to invite everyone to the first annual "Heckber North Winter Gathering." This weekend is an open house type weekend so come and stay a few hours or stay for a few days.
To start the weekend I have reserved the non smoking room on Friday, February 13th at the Twin Six at 7:00 pm. Order off the menu and pay your own bills (I love all of you, but I have also seen some of you eat as well). Just a reminder that the Twin only accepts cash or checks...
Activities for Saturday and Sunday are up for suggestion, I am sure there are enough of us we can come up with something we can do. Bring your Wii's and other TV games and I think the kids will be happy. I plan on making noodles and if you want to participate all you need to bring is 5 pounds of flour, 2 dozen eggs, clean sheet and zip lock bags. If you supply the flour you can take home about 8 gallon zip lock bags of noodles. Sue got me two noodles machines for Christmas and I am ready to get them both going and mass produce some homemade noodles.
Sue and I will make a roaster of goulash and chili for the weekend. Feel free to add to menu if you like and bring your own beverages.
Just let me know if you are planning to attend and if you are going to spend the night. I don't want to have too many overnight guests and run out of sleeping room. Look forward to seeing those who can attend

January blah's
January is half over with and only 8 more weeks of winter. What's everybody doing out there to keep from going crazy(unless of course you like winter)? How are the wedding plans coming? And what about the house Amber---ready to move yet? I will watch GRACIE when you do move. Anybody out there want to get together for a Super Bowl Party or Valentine's Day party??? Can you tell I am ready for anything? Except for maybe ice shating on the Sink pond.
Hope everybody is doing well including Sue with her broken leg and the sadness of losing her nephew Chance. Anybody remember Patrick Mooney---would be seminarian from Ireland? Did you see he was the policeman that shot the Avilla bank robber? Interesting choice of career change. What's Deke, Seth and Ethan up to--?
Hope you guys come out of hibernation and we can hear from all of you???

A time for work
With the ice storm that came through Mike and I had a lot of branches come down. Our mulberry tree was completely hopeless. A couple branches came down on Liam and Jayson's playset and broke the top. A tree uprooted on the side of the house. SO...Dad and Deke came over and cut down a lot! I got home and the bushes lining my neighbor's and my property line were gone. Along with the mulberry tree. The front of my house by the road is totally covered with branches. You can't even walk on the sidewalk. Deke was wonderful enough to be a monkey and climb my big tree in the back yard and cut a couple branches down. It was pretty intense at one point. BUT he didn't take down my fence in the process and he's alive to climb another day. I've got a stack of firewood if anyone needs it. Just let me know!
